Commentary:
The results for this task are interesting when compared with the 1995 and 1999 results for Subject Pie. The year 8 results are similar for both tasks and both years, but the year 4 results are much more variable. While Subject Pie showed a dramatic improvement for year 4 students from 1995 to 1999, the year 4 results for Pocket Money are less satisfying. Perhaps the technological requirements of the task limited the success of year 4 students to some degree.
