Commentary:
Student choices for what food to take on a multi-day tramp ranged from the highly practical (muesli bars) to the highly desirable (cream cakes). In general, students made good choices on what to include. Girls made better choices than boys and were better able to give reasons for their choices. Pakeha students scored higher than Mäori or Pasifika students; there were negligible changes from the 2004 administration.
