Commentary: The year 4 students used the caluculators with quite good success.
Elsewhere in our assessments year 4 students attempted seven of these items without calculators:
question1: 72%        q2: 34%         q3: 18%          q4: 27%          q5: 39%         q6: 34%         q7: 9%

 
Except on question 1, the students were much more successful using the calculators.
