Questions

In this activity
you will hear some short pieces of music on the video. I want you to
listen carefully.
After you have heard
each piece, I want you to try to sing it the same way. Sing "doo"
to each of the tunes.
There are 7 phrases
all together. We'll start now.
Discontinue the task if the student clearly indicates the wish to
stop at any point.

Commentary:
Most students succeeded in reproducing the rhythm. Slighty more year 8
than year 4 students sang in tune. There was no clear evidence of changes
in level of performance from 1996 to 2000. |
