Approach: One to one Level: Year 4 and year 8
84KB
Focus: Qualities of good team members.
Resources: Recording book.
Questions/instructions:
In this activity I want you to think about what it takes to be a good team or group member. We take part in teams and groups in sports, clubs, at home and at school.
Imagine that you are part of a group in your class which is working together to make something. There are four people in the group. See if you can think of 5 things that will make those people really good team members, and I will write them down on this sheet.
Show student recording sheet.
As the student says each characteristic, write it down on the recording sheet ( in abbreviated form where appropriate) and read aloud. Where 2 or more ideas are given as one, suggest that they be written separately.
Now I’ll read the things you said about really good team members. If you want to change any of them, you can tell me.
Read things recorded to the student.
Are there any changes you would like to make?
Make any changes offered by the student.
