Commentary:
More than 90 percent of year 8 students could answer a range of questions
requiring them to interpret a table in a brochure. Only about 50 percent
of students could provide complete justifications for an answer. There
is very little change between 1999 and 2003 in students’ performace
overall, although in 2003, students used a wider range of alternatives
for selecting vehicles to transport a large number of people.(Q4). |
