Commentary:
Both at year
4 and at year 8 level, there was a small overall increase in performance
between 1998 and 2002. Students appeared not very aware of the more
subtle techniques used in the scene to create a scary mood but, in part,
this may have arisen from the focus of the question on the wolf.
